The Fort Bend Commissioners Court does not have the authority to regulate fireworks within the county.
The main exception is in case of a county burn ban being in effect. If a burn ban is in effect, fireworks are prohibited everywhere in the county.
Individual municipalities have enacted fireworks regulations. These will be added in the future
Sec. 38-115. Illegal fireworks declared nuisance.
The presence of any fireworks within the city and within the area immediately adjacent and contiguous to the city limits and extending for a distance outside of the city limits for a total of 5,000 feet, in violation of this chapter, is hereby declared to be a common and public nuisance. The fire official is directed and required to seize and cause to be safely destroyed any fireworks found in violation of this chapter, and any authorized member of the fire department or any police officer of the city or any other duly constituted peace officer is empowered to stop the transportation of and detain any fireworks being transported illegally or to close any building where any fireworks are found stored illegally until the fire official can be notified in order that such fireworks may be seized and destroyed in accordance with the terms of this chapter. (e) Possession, sale or use. Except as provided in this section, it shall be unlawful for any person to possess, store, offer for sale, sell at retail, or use or explode any fireworks within the corporate limits and within the area immediately adjacent and contiguous to such corporate limits and extending for a distance outside the city for a total of five thousand (5,000) feet, and it shall be unlawful to do or perform any act in violation of this subsection within such five-thousand-foot area contiguous to the corporate limits and outside the city, provided that this subsection shall not apply within any portion of such five-thousand-foot area which is contained within the territory of any other municipal corporation.

3. possess within a state park any fireworks, explosives, or similar devices capable of explosion, or to discharge, set off, or cause to be discharged in or into a state park any such device or substance, except with written authorization from the director.
